We are a ministry that meets every Friday night for praise and worship, teachings, and prayer time. We emphasize the Hebrew roots of our faith, the fulfillment of the Law in Jesus (Yeshua), the new and eternal Covenant ratified in His blood and the Promise of the Father , the Holy Spirit who reminds us of all Jesus taught and leads us in all Truth. We emphasize the connections between the types and shadows of the Tanakh (Old Testament) and Yeshua (Jesus) the Messiah.

One in Messiah. Therefore, remember that at one time you, Gentiles in the flesh, called the uncircumcision by those called the circumcision, which is done in the flesh by human hands, were at that time without Christ, alienated from the community of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, without hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have become near by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, he who made both one and broke down the dividing wall of enmity, through his flesh, abolishing the law with its commandments and legal claims, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, thus establishing peace, and might reconcile both with God, in one body, through the cross, putting that enmity to death by it. He came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near, for through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father. Ephesians 2:11-18 This is the foundational Scripture passage for the ministry. Through what Messiah did on the Cross, there is now one Body of Messiah, Jew and Gentile. In this New Covenant, the Law has been fulfilled and the Gentiles have been brought into the Kingdom of God. The Plan of Salvation was revealed. He did this in His flesh as it says. Also, those who were far off, the Gentiles, now have peace. The writer to the Hebrews tells us how the New Covenant flows from the Old Covenant and fulfills the types found there: Hebrews 8: 1Now this is the main point of the things we are saying: We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, 2a Minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle which the Lord erected, and not man. In John Chapter 5, Yeshua (Jesus) tells the teachers of the Law and the teachers of Israel that all the Scriptures they knew and studied were about Him. 39You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me It is important, therefore, that we study ALL of them and see how they are about Him! In recent times, the Holy Spirit has been showing the Church its Hebrew roots. There is a clearer understanding of the plan of salvation and the revelation of God. We see what Paul meant in Romans about being grafted in to the true olive tree. The roots nourish the tree. As you study the entire Tanakh (Old Testament), you see salvation in Yeshua (Jesus) in a more complete picture. When you study Torah, you get a much more powerful understanding of grace. We do not study the Tanakh so that we Gentiles can become Jews or so that we can begin to follow the Law better. We study the powerful revelation of God to His People and also the types and shadows that are pre-figurements of Messiah and His Sacrifice. Atonement for sin and the justification that ensues are only from and through Him. This is what the Tanakh points to. It is the New Covenant that is promised in Jeremiah Chapter 31. The writer to the Hebrews teaches us in Hebrews Chapter 8: 6But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises. 7For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second. 8Because finding fault with them, He says: “Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah--9not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they did not continue in My covenant, and I disregarded them, says the Lord. 10For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 11None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them. 12For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” Therefore, studying the Tanakh, the Old Testament, is the basis for understanding the New. God builds the Bridge between Him and us and that Bridge is the Cross, the centerpiece of salvation history. It is not possible to understand grace without understanding the Covenant of Law. |
PROCLAIMING THE MESSAGE OF SALVATION THROUGH THE SCRIPTURES. THE PLAN OF SALVATION UNFOLDS FROM GENESIS THROUGH REVELATION. THE COVENANT PEOPLE ARE FORMED BY GOD AND RECEIVE HIS LAW IN THE TORAH. A MESSIAH IS PROMISED. PROPHETS ARE SENT TO TELL THE PEOPLE HOW THEY ARE TO LIVE AND TO FORETELL THE ACTIONS OF MESSIAH WHO IS THE SON OF DAVID. THE PROMISE TO THE PATRIARCH ABRAHAM THAT ALL THE NATIONS OF THE EARTH WOULD BE BLESSED THROUGH HIM IS FULFILLED IN YESHUA (JESUS) FROM THE TRIBE OF JUDAH. THE GENTILES, THE NON-COVENANT PEOPLE ARE THEREAFTER BROUGHT INTO THE KINGDOM. IT IS SALVATION FOR ALL! ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Why study the Torah? That is a commonly asked question by many Christians. In the Torah, God reveals Himself and His Law. He establishes a Covenant with His people, the Israelites. This is the Covenant of Law. In these books, God prefigures what Jesus the Messiah would be like, what He would do, how Salvation would come to Mankind, and most importantly, that a New Covenant would be given, the Covenant of Grace! This Covenant would be not only for Israel, but also for the Gentiles! God promised Abraham that all the nations (goyim) of the earth would be blessed through him. That promise was fulfilled in Jesus (Yeshua), the Messiah of all and the only Way to salvation. An introduction The Torah Class
There is a 33-part study of the Torah for Christians who want to learn the basics. There is emphasis on how it all pre-figures Jesus. Check out the YouTube lessons. Go to YouTube "The Torah Class"
Podcasts: Dr.Phil/giftofgrace Roots and Foundations II Timothy 3: 16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. At the time Paul wrote this, the only Scripture available was the Old Testament, the Tanakh! It is not just the New Testament that is inspired. The Greek used in that passage means that God the Holy Spirit breathed out the Word. Just like Creation was spoken into existence, breathed out, so was His Word! |
